This fresh Watermelon Juice makes the perfect summer drink that’s refreshing, cooling and hydrating. And it’s quite possibly the easiest  drink to make!

To make this watermelon juice recipe, all you need is a blender.  You can strain the watermelon juice through a fine mesh for a more liquified drink, but if you don’t mind a little texture, then don’t bother straining it. We add in a little unsweetened white grape juice and apple juice which makes this watermelon juice extra refreshing and tasty.

Watermelon Juice Recipe

You will love how refreshing this watermelon juice tastes!!! It’s one of my favorite juice recipes to make!!

  • Watermelon, peeled and chopped (seeds removed)
  • White grape juice (unsweetened)
  • Apple juice (unsweetened)

How to Make Watermelon Juice

You won’t need an expensive juicer to make this fresh watermelon juice. We simply toss everything in a blender and blend until the watermelon liquifies. I never strain my watermelon juice, because I want the added nutritional value the flesh of the watermelon provides, and I don’t mind the added texture.

  • Add chopped watermelon to blender.
  • Pour in the white grape juice and apple juice to the blender.
  • Place lid on blender and blend until the watermelon liquifies.
  • Add ice to glasses and pour Watermelon Juice over the ice and enjoy!

If you’re straining your watermelon,  go ahead and blend the watermelon separately in the blender, then strain it through a fine mesh strainer, and then add the strained juice back in the blender. Next you’ll pour the white grape juice and apple juice in the blender and blend the three juices together. So easy!!

Tips

  • Be sure to remove any black seeds before blending the watermelon, or choose a seedless watermelon for this recipe.
  • I like to use RW Knudsen brand of natural fruit juices for this recipe. Whatever brand you choose, just be sure to use an unsweetened white grape juice and apple juice without any added sugar.
  • This watermelon juice will last in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

How Do You Choose A Ripe Watermelon?

Here’s a few tips for picking a watermelon that you’ll enjoy.

  • Rind health. You’ll want to look for a watermelon with a flat matte rind rather than a glossy or shiny rind.
  • Yellow field spot. Look for the yellow field spot on the bottom of the watermelon. This is where the watermelon laid on the field and the yellow color indicates ripeness (and that it ripened in the field).
  • Weight. Heavier watermelons are often juicy watermelons. Pick up different watermelons in the bunch to choose one on the heavier side for its size.
