This Chipotle Ranch Salad Dressing comes together in about 5 minutes start-to-finish. But you’ll want to refrigerate it for up to an hour (longer even better) to allow the flavors to really blend together.

Homemade Chipotle Ranch Dressing Recipe

  • Mayonnaise. We use a good real mayonnaise like Best Foods (Hellman’s).
  • Seasoning.  We add fresh garlic and green onion together with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and freshly cracked black pepper to season this dressing with.
  • Adobo Sauce. We stir in a little adobo sauce to the mix which gives this dressing an amazing flavor and a wee bit of spice. If you want a spicier dressing, then add more adobo sauce from the canned chipotle peppers 1 teaspoon at a time to taste.
  • Lime Juice. We add just a little lime juice which enhances the chipotle flavor.
  • Buttermilk. This adds flavor and thins the dressing out.  You can use milk or water if you like.
