Quinoa Rice Recipe Ingredients

Clear glass bowls filled with brown basmati rice, quinoa, water, seasoning and butter.

  • White Quinoa.  We use white quinoa for this recipe, but you can use tri-color if you like.
  • Brown Basmati Rice. We use brown basmati rice for this recipe rather than a long grain rice. We prefer the flavor of basmati better than long grain.
  • Water. You’ll need water (or chicken broth) to cook it with.
  • Butter. Use unsalted butter to add flavor to the mix.
  • Seasoning.  We use just a little garlic powder, onion powder and salt as seasoning.

How To Store Leftovers

  1. Store leftover quinoa rice in an airtight container in the refrigerator. If properly stored, it should last 3 to 4 days.
  2. To reheat, add leftover quinoa rice and 1-2 tablespoons of water or butter to a skillet and warm it over low heat. If it starts to stick to the skillet, just add a little more water or butter.
