Mexican Caesar Salad Dressing
Our Mexican Caesar Salad Dressing recipe is a rich and creamy Mexican salad dressing that is perfect to toss with big leafy green salads or to slather inside wraps.
This creamy Mexican salad dressing is a tasty blend of sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, garlic, Feta cheese, and cilantro. If you love a good creamy salad dressing, we think you’re going to love the combo of flavors in this one!
This dressing comes together in about 10 minutes start-to-finish. But you’ll want to refrigerate it up to an hour (longer even better) so the flavors have a chance to really meld together before serving.
Mexican Caesar Salad Dressing Recipe Ingredients
- Mayonnaise. Use a good mayonnaise like Best Foods Real Mayonnaise (or Hellman’s).
- Sour Cream. We use full fat sour cream for this recipe. It adds a richness to this dressing.
- Lime Juice. Lime juice adds a delicious flavor to this dressing.
- Cheese. We add Feta cheese to this dressing (we like the flavor better than Cojita cheese).
- Cilantro. Cilantro adds a pop of flavor and it compliments any Mexican salad you’ll be tossing it with.
- Seasoning. Just a pinch of salt and pepper is all we use to season this dressing with.

Variations
- Cheese. Use Parmesan cheese or Cojita cheese instead of Feta cheese. Feta and Parmesan are our two favorite cheese options for this dressing.
- Jalapeno. Add 1/2 teaspoon minced jalapeno pepper if you want to add a little spice to the mix.
- Garlic. Add another garlic clove if you want a more vibrant garlic flavor.
How To Make Creamy Mexican Salad Dressing
- Blend ingredients. Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and the cilantro is well blended. There will still be tiny flecks of cilantro in the dressing after blending.
- Chill. Refrigerate the dressing in an airtight container up to an hour before serving so the flavors have a chance to meld together.
- Store. Store dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator. If properly stored, it should last up to 5 days. Stir dressing before each serving.
Why You Will Love This Mexican Caesar Salad Dressing
- It’s Better Than Store-Bought. Making any dressing at home from scratch is always a better idea than buying the bottled stuff from the store. When you make dressings at home, you can choose fresh ingredients and you can control the amount of salt and sugar. Some of the bottled stuff may contain preservatives and artificial flavors.
- It’s Quick And Easy To Make. Making dressings from scratch literally takes just 5 minutes. Buy yourself some new mason jars so you can store your new favorite homemade dressings in them. Of course they’ll need to be stored in the refrigerator to stay fresh.
- It Tastes Amazing. This Mexican Caesar Salad Dressing has a really great combination of flavors!
