Instead of using plain water ice cubes, try adding these Arnold Palmer layered ice cubes to a class of tea (they make the best iced tea), lemonade and even plain water! I make these Arnold Palmer iced tea flavored cubes a lot during the hot summer months.

I drink a lot of iced tea – mostly green and fairly diluted so I don’t get a caffeine jolt. My two favorite flavored ice cubes to add to tea are these Arnold Palmer Ice Cubes and these sweet Summer Peach Ice Cubes.  Flavored ice cubes are fun to make and they’re a great way to help you stay hydrated.

Sweet Tea Ice Cubes Recipe

If you’ve ever wondered how to make an Arnold Palmerr, they are super easy to make. Arnold Palmer half and half is a refreshing drink made up of 50% iced tea and 50% lemonade.  For this sweet tea ice cubes recipe we create layered ice cubes with half iced tea and half lemonade. But, you could just blend the two together if you prefer.

How To Make Iced Tea

I’ve used black tea for this ice tea recipe, but you could instead use green tea, herbal tea or decaffeinated tea if you like.

  1. Boil water.  Fill saucepan with water and heat to a simmer just before boiling then remove from heat.
  2. Tea bags.  Add the tea bags to hot water.
  3. Steep tea. Steep tea for 1-3 minutes.
  4. Discard tea bags. Remove tea bags and discard.
  5. Refrigerate.  After the tea has cooled to at least room temperature, pour into a glass pitcher and refrigerate.

How To Make Homemade Honey Lemonade

  • Lemons.  Pour fresh squeezed lemon juice into a pitcher
  • Honey.   Mix honey with water to create a honey simple syrup then blend with lemon juice in pitcher.
  • Water.  Add water to the pitcher  to dilute the mixture to your personal preference for sweetness and tartness.  Stir to blend.
  • Refrigerate. Put the pitcher of lemonade in the refrigerate to chill.
