Marinated Tomatoes Recipe
Our easy Marinated Tomatoes Recipe is made with cherry tomatoes, kalamata olives, fresh basil and parmesan cheese all tossed in a delicious vinaigrette. We let these tomatoes marinate in the vinaigrette for 30-60 minutes and then we like to serve them with grilled chicken or fish.

Marinated Tomatoes Recipe Ingredients
- Cherry Tomatoes. We use cherry tomatoes, but you can use grape tomatoes or even small Roma tomatoes cut into quarters.
- White Wine Vinegar. We use white wine vinegar, but you can use red wine vinegar if you like.
- Extra-Virgin Olive Oil. Use a good extra-virgin olive oil.
- Garlic. You’ll need just 1 clove of garlic.
- Seasoning. We add Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt and black pepper to season the dressing with.
- Kalamata Olives. Kalamata olives add a nice briny flavor to this marinated tomato salad.
- Parmesan Cheese. We add parmesan cheese to our marinated tomatoes. You can use Feta cheese if you like.
- Fresh Basil. We love adding fresh basil to the tomatoes. They add a nice fresh pop of flavor. You can also use fresh parsley or mint if you like

How To Make Marinated Tomatoes
- Whisk Dressing. Whisk together the ingredients for the dressing in a medium bowl or add the ingredients to a mason jar, seal the lid and shake well.
- Prep Salad Ingredients. Slice the cherry tomatoes in half, finely dice the kalamata olives, slice fresh basil leaves into thin ribbons, and finely grate the parmesan cheese.
- Toss. Add the cherry tomatoes and kalamata olives to the bowl with the dressing and toss. Sprinkle in the fresh basil and parmesan cheese over the tomatoes and toss again. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Marinate Tomatoes. Let the tomatoes marinate at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes before serving.
Serving Suggestions Marinated Tomatoes

Storing Marinated Cherry Tomatoes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. If properly stored, they will last 1 day. Tomatoes aren’t typically stored in the refrigerator because they tend to break down and lose their texture and flavor. So storing them longer than one day, they will likely lose their texture.

- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
